Subject: Makefile.PL restricts perl version
Looks like this module is back-compatible to 5.005, but it won't install on anything newer than 5.8.8m because Makefile.PL begins with use 5.008008. Can you please remove that line, or at least set it to an older version of perl? If it does require a new-ish perl you should say so in the docs.
