Subject: | Repo listing empty under FCGI when a repo can't be read |
This bug came up downstream (IYSWIM):
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=637553
Relevant strace output via hggh:
http://paste.debian.net/128044/
The explanation that I understood:
08:52 <@broquaint> So what's the problem exactly? (I haven't finished my
coffee so I'm failing to understand the simplest things)
08:54 < hggh> in /srv/git there are two repros. one the 755 and the
other one with 700. So one repro could not be opened by www-data. the
other could opened by www-data
08:55 < hggh> apache is running as www-data. if I access gitalist via
fastcgi it shows up nothing. but gitalist *should* show the one, that
www-data has access to it
08:55 < hggh> if I start gitalist_server with www-data it works
correctly, the one is showed
