Looking at Makefile-Parser-0.211, I noticed that occurrences of
variables passed into parse weren't being expanded to their values.
This is because, for some reason, line 72 (or thereabouts) clears out
the initial variables prior to parsing. Please find attached a patch
which removes the offending line.
