Hi Gisle
The Digest-HMAC distributions uses internally for HMAC_SHA1.pm the
module Digest::SHA1. Digest::SHA is part of the standard perl
distribution since perl v5.9.3 so, if used in HMAC_SHA1.pm could
reduce the external dependencies by one.
Could it be possible to change Digest-HMAC to use Digest::SHA instead
of Digest::SHA1? Or if you would like to keep Digest::SHA1, add some
alternatives checking (e.g. like spamassassin does checking for
Digest::SHA or as alternative Digest::SHA1)?
