Subject: Wishlist: CPAN::Reporter::Lite
Hi David, CPAN::Reporter 1.19_03 introduced Test::Reporter::Transport::Metabase as prerequisite, which in turn significantly increased list of prerequisites and especially included some XS modules. This may prevent of installing CPAN::Reporter on systems where no compiler is available. Is it possible to make "Lite" version which will have the ability to generate reports using Transport::File and have a minimal prerequisites set? -- Serguei Trouchelle

That was an oversight -- I changed the CPAN::Reporter Synopsis to tell people to install Task::CPAN::Reporter to get all the heavy prereqs and had intended CPAN::Reporter to remain light. I'll fix that momentarily. FWIW, the new Test::Report I released has also become lighter, having dropped all the legacy transports and associated prereqs. -- David
Hi there, since CPAN::Reporter is not depending on the Metabase transport anymore, I'm closing this ticket. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help. Cheers!
