Had a look in the test section of Passwd::Unix over the weekend and
found the file test.pl where 'black magic' was in charge for testing.
(it is explicitly written there)
I would suggest to replace this file with tests from Test::Simple or
Test::More.
The attached patch would give you 34 tests as a starting point. Some
tests are disabled, because they fail on my platform. I might have
misunderstood your documentation or it might be due to a problem on my
box. I would suggest to enable them or change the documentation or
source code. Please have a look.
