Subject: perldoc -f getpwnam and shmread no text
Date: Tue, 26 Apr 2011 08:07:12 +1000
To: bug-Pod-Perldoc [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Kevin Ryde <user42 [...] zip.com.au>
With Pod::Perldoc 3.15_01 on recent debian i386 perl 5.10.1, perldoc -f getpwnam prints only getpwnam NAME where I expected the full text of the getpwnam through endservent group. The same happens on shmread, perldoc -f shmread prints only shmread ID,VAR,POS,SIZE I wonder if the grep in search_perlfunc() thinks the X<> index entries on the lines following =item getpwnam and =item shmread are the text of the respective funcs, and stops prematurely. Incidentally, it also prints some warning Use of uninitialized value $ENV{"PERLDOC_POD2"} in string eq at lib/Pod/Perldoc.pm line 662. I18N::LangTags::Detect might relieve some of the tedium of LANG, LANGUAGE, LC_ALL there ... -- The most important thing when buying fish is freshness. Whenever I buy seafood extender I make sure it was thawed no more than 2 hours ago.
