Subject: IDNA2008 - libidn2 support
Hi. Is there any plan to create a Net::LibIDN2 module for the IDNA2008 new protocol? There's a new libdin release (in beta right now) in http://josefsson.org/libidn2/ Regards, Hugo
Wasn't aware that Simon started to work on an IDNA 2008 version, last time I talked to him he made having some sort of sponsor a precondition for work on IDNA 2008, seems he found one... The interest in all of this doesn't seem to be very great at the moment (I still haven't understood what the wider benefits of IDNA2008 are supposed to be compared to IDNA2003 ;) Anyways, at first glance the C library interface seems simple enough, the question is whether it wouldn't be better to integrate support into Net::LibIDN rather than producing another library... I'll try to look into it over the next weeks and then decide on a path forward... On Wed Apr 20 10:05:15 2011, HUGUEI wrote: Show quoted text
