it's actually a documented undocumented feature. from the Changes file: 1.00 Mon Nov 23 05:06:32 EST 2009 - add undocumented option to set envelope sender address :) I perceive most folks who would read documentation about setting a sender address would do so, which would usually end up crippling the utility.
