Subject: Please clarify the reasons for this package and other future plans
This package is a dependency for the latest version of CPAN::Meta, which needs to be packaged for Debian. It would help if we know a little more about where this is heading. 1.) What is wrong with the old JSON package? 2.) What about putting JSON::XS into the corelist instead?

JSON::PP will be core module in Perl 5.14 (already included in 5.13.9). I was proposed by Perl core developers that JSON::PP should be separated from the JSON package for maintenance. And I accepted the proposition. But the JSON package still has JSON::PP as JSON::backportPP. I usually maintain JSON::PP and then import it to the JSON package. Show quoted text

I think that insistence should be proposed to the perl core developers. But I also had asked them the same point in actual fact. And I heard that they need PP. I hope these are answers to your questions.
I communicated with a Debian package maintainer and the CPAN::Meta author. I think this problem was resolved. Regards, On 2011-2月-25 金 12:53:43, SILASMONK wrote: Show quoted text
