Subject: unmodify() can cause duplication in parameters
given a string like: rec-form-1-email=1&email=test@example.com&pass=password&rec-form-1-pass=1 the return from unmodify() is: email=1&email=test@example.com&pass=password&pass=1 when it should be: email=test@example.com&pass=password

Do you have an example of a simple page that creates this behavior? I'll look into it.
