I'm not sure what's going on, but when I tried to install the latest
DBIx::DWIW (0.49) using the source package or CPAN, all it did was append
to the
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/auto/DBIx/DWIW
perldoc.pod file and add the following directories/files.
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/auto/DBIx/DWIW
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/auto/DBIx/DWIW/.packlist
Trying 0.48, it installed just fine:
Show quoted text

Checking if your kit is complete...
Looks good
Writing Makefile for DBIx::DWIW
Show quoted text> # make
cp DWIW.pm blib/lib/DBIx/DWIW.pm
Manifying blib/man3/DBIx::DWIW.3pm
Show quoted text> # make install
Installing /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.12.1/DBIx/DWIW.pm
Installing /usr/share/man/man3/DBIx::DWIW.3pm
Appending installation info to
/usr/lib/perl5/5.12.1/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/perllocal.pod
Could it be that it has something to do with the system being 64-bit?
