Subject: Paged results with searches
In the current version, paged searching--in which a search returning more results than the maximum page size will have links to the rest of the result set--does not work. This needs to be addressed; the solution will have to involve constructing a URL with the query parameters in it (the nature of the URL varying with different front-ends, presumably), and the processor will have to account for the possibility of URL-based search terms (as with these links, or a direct link like "click here for entries from the last 16 days") as well as form-based search terms (the initial search). I note relatedly that Stuart Robinson supplied a patch for the pager to keep the order field and direction: http://lists.netthink.co.uk/pipermail/maypole/2004-April/000125.html However the eventual solution to the above problem should obviate the need for this patch, as it will have to take into account more than just the order.
