Subject: Missing Windows time zone alias for Morocco Standard Time
Date: Mon, 03 Jan 2011 13:16:56 +0000
To: bug-Date-Manip [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Daniel Harding <dharding [...] gmail.com>
I recently installed Date-Manip 6.20 on my laptop running Windows XP SP3. When I tried to use the module, however, I received the error "ERROR: Date::Manip unable to determine Time Zone." I dug a little bit, and found that my time zone as set in the Windows registry is "Morocco Standard Time", but Date-Manip has no alias for that name (it should map to Africa/Casablanca). I modified Zones.pm by hand to add the correct alias and now it works correctly. The permanent fix would be to add the line: "Morocco Standard Time" => [ qw(alias Africa/Casablanca) ], to the internal/data.alias.pl file. Hope this helps, -Daniel
I have updated the windows timezones to be current. This will be fixed in the next release.
