Subject: Failed to install DateTime 0.66
Hi, Package DateTime could not be installed in several attempts. I attempted to install DateTime 0.66 at two machines running: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga) Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga) Please find attached a text file containing output obtained from running perl -MCPAN -e 'install DateTime' Package seems to come without Makefile.PL. (The test -f "/root/.cpan/build/DateTime-0.66/Makefile.PL" returned false.) Thanks, Yogesh Sawant

You must have a fairly ancient version of the CPAN module. DateTime comes with a Build.PL, which modern versions of CPAN detect and use properly. -dave /*============================================================ http://VegGuide.org http://blog.urth.org Your guide to all that's veg House Absolute(ly Pointless) ============================================================*/
Hi Dave, Thanks much for the information, I'll update the CPAN module I have and install DateTime again. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks, Yogesh Sawant
