Subject: new CPAN::Reporter install wants to email test reports
New perl This is perl 5, version 12, subversion 2 (v5.12.2) built for darwin-2level installed on OS X. I wanted to use CPAN::Reporter to send test reports, so I installed it via CPAN. Followed README instructions. I get setup to send reports via email, only on sending first report do I see: cpan-testers@perl.org SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<cpan-testers@perl.org>: host mx.develooper.com [207.171.7.76]: 550 cpan-testers no longer accepts test submissions via email. Please convert to CPAN Testers 2.0 and the http submission method. Instructions are at: http://wiki.cpantesters.org/wiki/QuickHowToCT20. Surely this new method should be the default?
Thanks for the reminder. I've been meaning to clarify the instructions and hope to get to it before too long. -- David

The real problem shown by this report is that e-mail transport should be completely disabled (as it is not supported anymore on the server side) and metabase should be the default. -- Olivier Mengué - http://search.cpan.org/~dolmen/ http://github.com/dolmen/

I also noticed that Test::Reporter::Transport::Metabase is not a dependency of CPAN::Reporter, which is seems it would need to be if that is supposed to be the new default.
This has been patched in the repo and will be included in the next release.
