Subject: | "ß expected as s" and a documentation bug |
Hello Helmut!
We use your module to create sort strings, so we expected ß as s.
I dont know if you forgot this German umlaut or it is not clear where
to place.
If its not clear maybe it is a good idea to have an optional second
parameter including a hash reference with my own conversions or a
callback sub that can do the same. My thourghts came from
HTML::Entities. There I optional can give my special chars.
I have a problem with the documentation.
$ascii_string = undiacritic( $czech_string );
$accii_string is not true. If a char in the $czech_string you do not
replace, than this is in the $ascii_string variable. So it is not an
$ascii_string. I had a problem because I beleved it is ASCII.

Steffen
