Subject: optdata for add_files()
The ability to specify file properties to add_data() is very handy -- it'd be nice to have the same ability with add_file() too, to alter the ownership or mode of a file before storing, without needing to slurp the whole thing into memory.

In 0.99_xx and on wards, files are actually objects now, and you can change any object attribute after the addition, before the writing. This should fill in the functionality you required
