Subject: Non-interactive install
Term::ReadLine::Perl requires interaction during the make test process, where it shows it running. I've installed this many times and I would prefer if it could install non-interactively by default.

How about a special environment variable (say, BATCH) which signals that the installation is done in batch mode and therefore skip all questions? The same environment variable is used in FreeBSD's ports system, and I use it also in some of my Tk modules. Regards, Slaven

BATCH looks too conflict-prone. INTERACTIVE=0 too... What about SKIP_INTERACTIVE=1 ? Ilya
