Hi, I am trying to install Koha 3.0.6 (3.00.06.010). And it seems Net-Z3950-ZOOM 1.26 and YAZ 4.1.1 don't get along very well. YAZ 4.1.1 is already installed on my setup. Output when trying to install Net-Z3950-ZOOM 1.26 is below in this email. I'll try to look into this properly tomorrow, but in the mean time note that the only thing that's happening here is that a single check is failing in the test-suite: that the "display term" returned from a scan operation is the same as the raw term. I think it's highly unlikely that Koha relies on that rather esoteric accident of implementation, so you can probably just go ahead and install despite the test-suite's apparent failure. Thank you Mike. I did the Net-Z3950-ZOOM install despite the error - as you said ... and now Koha is working. I am an MLIS student and I just want to get familiar with Koha :) Thanks again. arslan -- The trick, is living without an answer. I think.

OK, I verified that, as suspected, the problem was only in the test-suite and not in the actual library -- so you were just fine going ahead with the install. What had in fact changed was the implementation of the Scan operation in the server that the test-suite runs against -- it was no longer providing properties that the test-suite was, wrongly, assuming would be there. I've now made the test-suite for the Scan operation less strict on things like requiring the displayTerm to be identical to the term, so that it runs correctly against the upgraded test server. The resulting ZOOM-Perl v1.28 has been released on CPAN and should find its way to your local mirror soon. If you want to redo the install, you should find that it goes smoothly. Please verify this so that the bug can be closed. Thanks for reporting. -- Mike. On 14 October 2010 17:34, Arslan Farooq via RT <bug-Net-Z3950-ZOOM@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Show quoted text
