The POD markup causes some very odd text to be rendered by perldoc. For example, take the following excert:
This method is the core of the module. Pass it a the
Mail::Internet manpage object, it will either return a the
Mail::ListDetector::List manpage object that describes
i.e. the word 'manpage' is being inserted by perldoc and making it nonsensical.
