Subject: Tie::Watch as own distribution?
Hello, Have you considered extracting and releasing Tie::Watch as a separate distribution. I have come across another distribution, that requires Tie::Watch (Test::MockClass) and I am not really interested in installing Tk on my machine just to meet this basic requirement. I skimmed the Tie::Watch source and it does not seem to be especially Tk - as it seems it could be useful elsewhere, only issue being installation footprint as it is a part of Tk right now. Take care, jonasbn

It is, since 2005: http://search.cpan.org/~lusol/Tie-Watch-1.2/
In the CPAN shell I get the following: cpan[3]> d /Tie::Watch/ No objects of type Distribution found for argument /Tie::Watch/ cpan[4]> i /Tie::Watch/ Module Tcl::pTk::Tie::Watch (CERNEY/Tcl-pTk-0.83.tar.gz) Module Tie::Watch (SREZIC/Tk-804.029.tar.gz) 2 items found cpan[5]> m /Tie::Watch/ Module Tcl::pTk::Tie::Watch (CERNEY/Tcl-pTk-0.83.tar.gz) Module Tie::Watch (SREZIC/Tk-804.029.tar.gz) 2 items found cpan[6]> And it does not pop-up on search.cpan.org unless you search for distributions only. Perhaps the indexing of Tie::Watch should be addressed, but that is not a Tk issue :-) Anyway looks great, please feel free to close this ticket

I just created Tie-Watch-1.301. This is almost exactly the same version as bundled in Tk, but will hopefully be preferred when installing Tie::Watch from the CPAN shell. Regards, Slaven
