Test::HasVersion reports that the following has no version when it does: # full code is http://sprunge.us/IIVN?pl use MediaWiki::Bot; BEGIN { *PWP:: = \%MediaWiki::Bot:: } our $VERSION = $PWP::VERSION; This creates PWP as an alias for MediaWiki::Bot, so your version number is whatever MediaWiki::Bot's is.
