Subject: ExtUtils::AutoInstall failure
ExtUtils::AutoInstall seems to have problems with the attached Makefile.PL. To reproduce, you have to make sure that neither GD nor GD::Graph is installed (in fact, it seems to die always if an prerequisite of the prerequisite has to be processed). I also only have CPAN.pm installed. It does not seem to be OS or perl-version dependent (the problem is persistent with perl 5.8.0 on FreeBSD and perl 5.8.4 RC1 on Linux). In the attached tarball are typescripts of the unsuccessful installation via ExtUtils::AutoInstall and the successful installation via CPAN.pm. Sorry about the control characters in the typescripts --- it seems to be better to view the logs with "more" than with "less". Regards, Slaven

Despite the Change #10519 I have still problems with EU::AI 0.59 and CPAN.pm-based install (now with the Template-Toolkit as a prerequisite). Regards, Slaven
