I cannot see why the X/Free Desktop Group Base Directory Specification is important. It's good to know about, even if it's not a standard (http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications). For the initial intention of the module it's an extension to care about it and therefore it's of "wishlist" severity. Thanks for giving me that hint. Jens
