Subject: Would be great if sd init could detect email from /etc/email-addresses
/etc/email-addresses contains mappings between lognames and email-addresses (at least on my Debian system). I think it could be usefull to automatically find the user's address. Hope this helps.

Hi Oliver, /etc/email-addresses isn't a standard I know about. Where would I go to read up on it? Thanks, Jesse On Sat 24.Jul'10 at 6:04:44 -0400, http://www-public.it-sudparis.eu/~berger_o/ via RT wrote: Show quoted text

Well... I guess it exists when using the exim MTA at least (which is default on Debian systems)... so I guess the exim docs give some details. Here's an excerpt that's probably explicit enough: # This is /etc/email-addresses. It is part of the exim package # # This file contains email addresses to use for outgoing mail. Any local # part not in here will be qualified by the system domain as normal. # # It should contain lines of the form: # #user: someone@isp.com #otheruser: someoneelse@anotherisp.com Thanks in advance.
