Hello David, Metabase::Client::Simple should list ExtUtils::MakeMaker 6.52 in PREREQ_PM because all previous versions cannot handle CONFIGURE_REQUIRES, leading to Catch 22: 'CONFIGURE_REQUIRES' => { 'ExtUtils::MakeMaker' => '6.11' }, -- Serguei Trouchelle

CONFIGURE_REQUIRES is read from META.*, not from MYMETA.*. When Makefile.PL is run, it is too late to declare CONFIGURE_REQUIRES - dependencies from it should be already installed. -- Alexandr Ciornii, http://chorny.net
