Subject: Interesting module!
Hello, I am APOCAL, the author of the SSLify module. I saw your dist show up in the CPAN news feeds, and decided to investigate. Looks like you did a good job! I would like to work with you to merge your code into SSLify so we don't need 2 dists! The entire certificate verification thing is on my todo list so it would be great if you could help me merge that in. You actually replied to one RT ticket for that, so it seems like you're already on the right track. However, I'm confused because it seems like your module does more "nonblocking" stuff than sslify. Do you realize sslify is now 100% nonblocking? Maybe you looked at an old version of sslify? Hope to hear from you soon! Happy hacking :) P.S. Welcome to CPAN with your first dist! -- ~Apocalypse

Thank you very much! I hope I didn't made you unhappy by releasing a perl module within your namespace... Thanks for the greate work to add support for SSL in POE at all! Show quoted text

There are many things need to be improved, for example the on-the-fly encryption in protocol (STARTTLS)... I would be glad to be an co-author... I am doing much POE stuff in last years, especially on SSL. What do you think about co-authoring? Show quoted text

Yeah... I just started the project before you fixed the blocking stuff... and had much work so the releasing was later and later... I was asked by a customer to have the module listed on cpan, so here is it now. I'll fix my documentation that your module now supports nonblocking! Much regards, Markus
