Subject: Fails to build from source with Class::MOP 1.02
Date: Thu, 27 May 2010 22:09:50 +0200
To: bug-Moose-Policy [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Salvatore Bonaccorso <salvatore.bonaccorso [...] gmail.com>
Hi Florian Moose-Policy fails to build from source now (see too the cpan testers) when having Class::MOP 1.02 installed, which may be related to the change: [API CHANGES] Packages and modules no longer have methods - this functionality was moved back up into Class::MOP::Class (doy). I have attached the full build log too for that. Many thanks if you could look into it. Bests Salvatore

Moose::Policy is dead. Even tho the documentation doesn't make that clear at all (which I intend to fix shortly), this module is unrecommended by the Moose cabal for quite some time now. It turned out not to be as good an idea as we thought. MooseX::SemiAffordanceAccessor and similar modules are available to achieve similar results in another way. -- BOFH excuse #250: Program load too heavy for processor to lift.
