Subject: [wishlist] Don't output perl as a module to upgrade unless requested...
It might be painful (i.e. require extra work) in order to upgrade perl (will cpanm even allow you to upgrade Perl?) so why output it as a module to upgrade? (I'm thinking a command line option could turn it back on, is why I say 'unless requested' in the title. --perl, maybe?) Here's recent output from my Strawberry Perl installation (I use it to build future versions of 64-bit Strawberry - it's a 5.12.0, strawberry's .1 build, MSWin32-x64-multi-thread installation) on my host machine, so you can see what I mean: C:\Users\Curtis>cpan-outdated C/CS/CSJEWELL/Alien-WiX-Version30-1.305419001.tar.gz B/BI/BINGOS/Archive-Extract-0.40.tar.gz J/JE/JESSE/perl-5.12.1.tar.gz G/GA/GAAS/libwww-perl-5.836.tar.gz F/FL/FLORA/Class-MOP-1.02.tar.gz P/PM/PMQS/Compress-Raw-Lzma-2.029.tar.gz B/BI/BINGOS/CPANPLUS-0.9004.tar.gz T/TI/TIMB/DBI-1.611.tar.gz M/MJ/MJEVANS/DBD-ODBC-1.24.tar.gz S/SP/SPROUT/DBM-Deep-1.0023.tar.gz L/LD/LDS/GD-2.45.tar.gz T/TO/TONYC/Imager-0.74.tar.gz B/BI/BINGOS/IPC-Cmd-0.58.tar.gz B/BI/BINGOS/Module-CoreList-2.34.tar.gz A/AD/ADAMK/pip-1.18.tar.gz F/FL/FLORA/Moose-1.05.tar.gz D/DO/DOY/MooseX-NonMoose-0.08.tar.gz R/RK/RKITOVER/Net-SSH2-0.30.tar.gz R/RG/RGARCIA/Safe-2.27.tar.gz C/CH/CHOCOLATE/Scope-Guard-0.20.tar.gz K/KT/KTHAKORE/SDL-2.406.tar.gz R/RJ/RJBS/Software-License-0.101410.tar.gz J/JS/JSTOWE/TermReadKey-2.30.tar.gz V/VP/VPIT/Variable-Magic-0.42.tar.gz B/BL/BLM/Win32API-Registry-0.32.tar.gz
