Subject: Nit: Suggest perlbrew init when the user hasn't made a ~/perl5
When I do `perlbrew install ...` on a new user without having done init I get a somewhat unspecific permission denied error. It would be nice if it instead suggested that I was a moron that should run perlbrew init first.
Seconded! I just tried to do a perlbrew install and got: $ perlbrew install perl-5.14.1 Unable to open conf (/Users/schwern/perl5/perlbrew/Conf.pm): No such file or directory at /opt/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.12.3/App/perlbrew.pm line 1344. A message like "I can't find your perlbrew directory at /Users/schwern/perl5/perlbrew/. Do you need to run 'perlbrew init'?" would be most helpful.
