While nosing around _do_kid_and_exit() I saw ## Avoid DESTROY. POSIX::exit 1; I wonder if that's meant to be POSIX::_exit(). I think POSIX::exit() runs DESTROY handlers, if the comment is claiming not to want that ... :-).
