Subject: 5.10 which is the right ActiveState PPM repo?
Hi,

strawberry 5.10 uses as one of the ppm repositories:
http://ppm.activestate.com/PPMPackages/5.10-windows

The above-mentioned works; however according to http://ppm4.activestate.com/ the official MSWin/5.10/32bit repo is:
http://ppm4.activestate.com/MSWin32-x86/5.10/1000/

NOTE: I am not sure how is it about ppm-v3 vs ppm-v4 support by ppm utility included in strawberry perl.

The utility is a fork of PPM2. So any PPM4 support would be accidental, I would think.

The current URL is correct as long as we have a version of PPM that only handles "old-style" repositories, and the other URL is the correct one for a "new-style" repository. Changing to the "new-style" URL is stalled until what I referred to as "step 2" on bug #57197 is completed.
