Subject: | Choose not to install XS -> XS tests are still attempted |
It asks you whether you want to compile the XS version when you install
from CPAN. I chose not to, since I can't access a shell on the server I
have been given to work with.
However, it seems that doing so does not cause it to skip the XS tests:

I'll omit platform-related information as I'm pretty sure it is not
relevant to this bug, but I am happy to provide if it turns out to be.
