The test suite fails for perl 5.12.0 RC0:
# Test 5 got: "100" (t/numbers.t at line 143 fail #4)
# Expected: "1000"
Wide character in print at t/numbers.t line 143.
# '1000' converted to '፲፻' and reconverted '100'
etc.
Looking at
http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Convert-Number-Ethiopic&maxver= it
seems that the fails started at some point between 5.11.2 and 5.11.4.
