Subject: Perl 5.8.9 required??
Hi there, Why is perl 5.8.9 required in this module? I can't see any need for it in the code and it stops it from working on eg rhel 5 systems which come with 5.8.8 default. From the looks of the code it should support anything from at least 5.6 onwards? Cheers, Mark

Mainly because I was on a system with perl 5.8.9 when I wrote it. If you can confirm it works on earlier versions I'll lower the requirement. Let me know how the module works out for you - you're the first person I'm aware of trying to use it other than me. I suspect something dodgy is going on with MIME encoding but I haven't tracked down the details yet.

I've not got a hotmail feed set up for now; when we have it coming in I'll have a play and let you know. Perhaps a better thing to do would be to remove the perl version requirement unless you're certain there is a version of perl that it doesn't work on? The tests should pick that up anyway. Mark

I'm a bit reluctant to remove it entirely, but I've reduced it to 5.8.1.

Grand; I guess this can be closed now thanks!
Reduced perl version required significantly. Released as 0.06.
