Greetings, im not sure if this is a bug or not. I have an environment with ldap user authentication but the users use different email addresses. new users should get their LDAP email address assigned, however some users use their Gmail accounts and reset the email field to indicate their gmail address. when users log out and log in again, their gmail email settings are reverted to their ldap email address.

This is a feature not a bug. It is designed so that accounts only need to be maintained in LDAP and any changes are reflected in RT. When information changes in LDAP, it is updated in RT. Because there is no way to test for a state change in the LDAP details, the only way to implement it is to overwrite the RT details each time with current LDAP information.
