Subject: Install of 4.0 fails in test t/flatfile
I' m trying to install Bryar 4.0 on a Debian 4.0 system with CPAN.pm as Bryar isn't available as a Debian module. The Perl version is v5.8.8 and all prerequisites are already installed. Installation fails in "make test' for tests in t/flatfile, a log file is attached. This looks like the bug already reported at http://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/5827986 Regards, JC P.S. Installing Bryar 3.1 but show another bug I'll report.

Please confirm it then. Anyway, 5827986 is a bug in the test (which I have not looked in detail about how it should be solved). Show quoted text

Do not bother, I could not care less about Bryar 3.1. -- ciao, Marco

I can confirm it on perl-5.10.1 installed from Centos v6.2 repo on an AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ with 2 GB RAM. Show quoted text

Any progress on this?

The problem is in the test data. The second blog entry, 2.txt, should be dated after the first blog entry, but it is not. You can check that by doing "cd t;ls -lrt *.txt", which should show 2.txt after 1.txt. If you "touch -d \"27 Nov 2004\" 2.txt", then it will pass "make test".
