Subject: cpan updateBase out of range
Date: Sat, 06 Mar 2010 10:34:28 +1100
To: bug-XML-RSS-Timing [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Kevin Ryde <user42 [...] zip.com.au>
The cpan uploads feed http://search.cpan.org/uploads.rdf has a <syn:updateBase>1901-01-01T00:00+00:00</syn:updateBase> which is out of range of a time_t on a 32-bit system, making XML::RSS::Timing reject it. Dunno why a wild date like that would be used when the updatePeriod is "hourly", but it'd be good if XML::RSS::Timing might one of the more more advanced date/time packages that allow a date like that, or could bring it into a sensible range, or something.
