Subject: build fails
Hi, I want to install XSpp in order to use Padre, but it does not work for me. When I enter sudo cpan ExtUtils::XSpp, I get the following error message: CPAN: Module::Build loaded ok (v0.3603) No action '-j3' defined, try running the 'help' action. SMUELLER/ExtUtils-XSpp-0.09.tar.gz ./Build -j3 -- NOT OK Running Build test Can't test without successful make Running Build install Make had returned bad status, install seems impossible (full log is attached). I use Ubuntu 9.10. Some other possibly relevant version information follow. Let me know if you need more information. It seems your CPAN client is misconfigured, inside the CPAN shell, use: Show quoted text
> o conf mbuild_arg "" > o conf commit
This should fix the problem. HTH, Mattia

Hi Mattia, thank you for that quick response! On Fri, Mar 5, 2010 at 2:02 PM, Mattia Barbon via RT <bug-ExtUtils-XSpp@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Show quoted text

I tried this, and the problem remained. Then I had a look at .cpan/CPAN/MyConfig.pm and saw that -j3 was still in the options make_arg and make_install_arg, so I removed the stuff there as well. Then it worked. Thank you for your help, Zeno
