Subject: examples/canonical emacs Mode:perl

Visiting examples/canonical in emacs23 gets The local variables list in canonical contains values that may not be safe (*). * Mode : perl I suppose "Mode" should be "mode", but I think that setting is unnecessary, as emacs will recognise perl from the "#!/usr/bin/perl" at the start (certainly emacs20 and up does). (In past emacs an unknown variable like capital-M "Mode" didn't provoke a warning, but it also then, and now, had no effect :-).
