it will run the script, however, when i call in scalar context and read from the filehandle returned...
this is on Apache/2.2.13 (Unix) DAV/2 PHP/5.3.0 mod_ssl/2.2.13 OpenSSL/0.9.8k mod_apreq2-20090110/2.7.1 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.0 configured -- resuming normal operations.
