Subject: Missing Copyright Statement
Hi: Your module is missing a section with years of copyright, copyright holders' names, copyright holders' e-mail addresses. This information is important because of the UUID::Tiny module. UUID::Tiny is based on your software. In keeping with correct copyright practice, it is important that the author of that module states that you hold copyright to the parts of the code he took from yours. Another option would be to give him express written consent (I suppose replying to this bug report ought to be fine) that you grant him permission to take over copyright for the parts of code he got from you. There is an outstanding bug here: http://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=53642 I think it's only fair that you get credit for your work. Whether you are okay with his current method (which refers to your package) or whether you want him to state your copyright on the parts of code you've written is your decision. Thanks for reading. Hopefully we can clear this up soon and I can upgrade the libuuid-tiny-perl package in Debian. Cheers, Jonathan
Subject: Re: Missing Copyright Statement
Dear Jonathan. As I mentioned in https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=53642 I gave up my right for the part of code used in UUID::Tiny. Now copyright problem in UUID::Tiny seems to become clear. Regards, -- BANB (ITO Nobuaki)
