Subject: Hidden compiler test insufficient
All four currently known fail reports strand on the two hidden compiler tests. Unfortunately the tests does not reveil why they are failing. I'd suggest you include $err and $2 into the comment on the test so we can then adjust the test to fit the environment. I mean the fixed string 'no compiler detected' is unlikely to be the only way to tell the user that it didn't find a compiler. Maybe it's a locale dependent string. HTH:)
After some tests while packaging the update in pkgsrc I've detected, that the tests fail, when environment variable CC is set. Pragmatic patch added.

*Oops* - wrong *.orig file used :) Now the correct patch is added. But I suggest to clearify if $ENV{CC} is higher priorized than config{cc} or vice versa - and maybe check other tests likewise ...

This is annoying and common enough to be a major issue. I'm releasing a new version with a fix tonight.
Now that there has been a stable Module::Build release, I'm marking this "patched" issue as "resolved".
