Subject: Spelling Mistakes
Hi: I discovered two spelling mistakes in the POD for this package (dependant -> dependent). We've patched it for the Debian package; you may want to apply these changes in your version control. Note we neither need nor are we asking for another release, as I think that would put undue burden on the CPAN mirrors for such a tiny issue. --- a/lib/Data/FormValidator.pm +++ b/lib/Data/FormValidator.pm @@ -224,7 +224,7 @@ This is a list of fields which are unknown to the profile. Thanks for the report Jonathan. Your update will appear in the next release, with credit to you.

I also appreciate and share your concern about conserving resources regarding the update. "Luckily" there are still some other release-worthy bugs which should be addressed soon.

Thanks for maintaining the Debian package for this!

Mark,

No rush of course, but I'm curious about these bugs. Are they something release critical in the current release? By that I mean, should I wait until your next upload before updating our package? It also depends on the timeline -- if you plan on updating another version in the next few days, then I'll hold off, but barring any other breakage, I suppose it'd be good to get an updated version out there for our users, even if there are still some issues (as long as they're not showstoppers).

Thanks for working with us, it really helps to have a responsive upstream for maintaining our packages :)

Cheers,

Jonathan

The latest release is definitely an improvement over the one before it.

The bugs I'm referring to are the open non-wishlist items in the bug tracker:

http://rt.cpan.org/Public/Dist/Display.html?Status=Active&Name=Data-FormValidator

I'm hoping some other volunteers will help to fix them, and that could take more than a few days to
coordinate. It seems to me they are all rather old issues that probably each affect a very small number of users or a very small number of cases.

I would go ahead and upload what you have. I expect to have a busy weekend and probably won't get any of them fixed myself.

You are very welcome. I use Linux as my desktop and very much appreciate the work of the packagers who support this. I also run my business on open source so I appreciate the work there as well.
