Here is the bug for that :) BTW, I will see if I can hack Text::EmacsColor support in. Yes, do want. But think it's better off as a plugin since requiring as an external dependency isn't ideal. As Tom pointed out if someone wants better syntax highlighting they can always install this plugin[1] :) As such I'm going to stall this ticket til we can make this happen.
