Subject: DBD:Oracle 1.14 on Solaris 8
does not install into a vanilla solaris 8 (oct,200 cd install) with perl 5.6 or 5.8.0 and gcc 3.1 dies on wrong ELFclass 32 and 64 when i change LD_LIBRARY_PATHs from the default 64-bit /usr/bin/ld to a 32-bit version /usr/local/bin/ld. Also Makefile.PL complains that it expects a numeric version for oracle 9.2.0 -- works ok for ora817. any suggestions/. help ?

Use DBD::Oracle 1.15. (But edit the Makefile.PL to change $opt_build='build' to $opt_build='' first). Then report problems in *exactly* the way the README asks. Thanks.
