Subject: Cannot find libxml2 which IS installed
Date: Wed, 11 Nov 2009 13:17:50 +0100
To: bug-XML-LibXML [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Sander Hulst <sander.hulst [...] bmtargoss.com>
Hello, I've been struggling with getting XML::LibXML installed on a server machine. It kept saying that libxml2-dev could not be found. This was not the case as it turned out that zlib1g-dev (debian) wasn't installed. It might be worth while to show the user the complete list of libraries that are searched for (-xml2, -zlib and -lm). For the rest, keep up the good work!! Sander -- Advisor Oceanography & ICT Tel: +31 (0)527-656421 Fax: +31 (0)527-242016 Web: www.bmtargoss.com BMT ARGOSS P.O. Just wanted to "me too" this bug, I had the same problem, would be nice if it output all the possibly failing libs.
Thanks for the report. Fixed in the repository and will be uploaded to CPAN soon.
