Two unrelated bugreports in the subject.
(1) I just uninstalled Pod::Coverage in order to produce a PASS report
on one of my smokers. This is unfortunate because it leads to
unpredictable errors:

(2) Dependency on threads in not mentioned in the {Build,Makefile}.PL
