Subject: Redistribute permissions (license)
Hi all, even if the package contains both files (Artistic.txt and GNU_GPL.txt), I'm unsure whether you mean: 1) Users/Distributors must respect both licenses (Artistic and GPL) 2) Users/Distributors must respect any of both licenses (Artistic or GPL) 3) Users/Distributors must respect any of both licenses or choose the license coming with (used) Perl. Currently (2) and (3) seems to be the same - but this could changes and I would be glad if it could get clearly explained by a small sentence in the documentation or by adding 'LICENSE => "perl"' to Makefile.PL or similar. Thanks in advance, Jens
Clan.pm says (at the top): ## This module is free software and can ## be used, modified and redistributed ## under the same terms as Perl itself. But anyway, in version 6.04 there will be a LICENSE => 'perl' entry in Makefile.PL (and META.yml, consequently). It will also be mentioned explicitly in the README file: Copyright & License: -------------------- This package with all its parts is Copyright (c) 2006-2009 by Joshua ben Jore <jjore@cpan.org> Copyright (c) 2001-2009 by Steffen Beyer <stbey@cpan.org> All rights reserved. This package is free software; you can use, modify and redistribute it under the same terms as Perl itself, i.e., at your option, under the terms either of the "Artistic License" or the "GNU General Public License".
